2017 saw the return of Toyota to the WRC, after 17 years away from the stages. This has inspired the new limited-edition Yaris GRMN: a supercharged hot hatch, extensively tested on the Nürburgring’s Nordschleife.
The Yaris GRMN is powered by a sensational supercharged 1.8-litre engine producing more than 210bhp. All this power if delivered to the front wheels through a six-speed manual gearbox. These combined award the Yaris GRMN with ‘best-in-class’ times, both for a 0-62mph sprint and acceleration from 50-75mph in fourth gear.
The Yaris GRMN features a reinforced chassis and additional bracing, which combine to give the car better traction and handling allowing it to hug the ground more closely and offer a truly rewarding drive.
The Yaris GRMN rides on
17-inch BBS multi-spoke alloy wheels and features a sporty new front and rear
bumper, a rear diffuser, a bespoke black wing-type rear spoiler and a
distinctive centre exhaust tailpipe. Dressed in the eye-catching white, red and
black flash detailing, the Yaris GRMN reflects the colours of the WRC car.
