The new Avensis has made its way to our showrooms, but how much do you know about the new model? Toyota have really upped their game with the Avensis, improving the equipment specification and the styling of the car. For the past 17 years the Avensis has been built in the UK and that remains the same this year with it being manufactured at Toyota's Burnaston plant in Derbyshire.
The range comes in 4 specifications. The Active grade is the standard entry level specifications. This is followed by the new Business Edition and Business Edition Plus versions. Finally, at the top of the range is the Excel. The upgrade in specifications across the range means higher levels of safety, comfort and convenience.
The standard Active range features the Pre-Collision safety system, air conditioning, cruise control, Bluetooth, LED daytime running lights and power windows. The Business Edition adds to this, including the Toyota Touch 2, an eight-inch display, reversing cameras, rain sensing wipers, 17" alloy wheels and safety features such as, Automatic High Beam, Lane Departure ad Road Side Assist.
The Business Edition Plus takes the specification even further including features like leather upholstery with Alcantara inserts, LED headlamps, smart entry and rear privacy glass. At the top of the range the Excel includes Toyota Touch 2 with Go Plus, for more sophisticated navigation functions. The car also has a 10 speaker audio system, full leather seat upholstery, electrically adjustable front seats with heaters and headlights that adjust automatically to improve illumination through bends and turns.
The car is available in 10 colours, with metallic options and additional optional packs like the Protection Pack, Chrome Pack and Parking Pack are available.
