What is Motability?

The Motability Scheme enables drivers with a disability to enjoy greater freedom and independence through the lease of a brand new car. The package not only includes your vehicle, but also insurance, road tax, servicing and breakdown cover.

Am I eligible?

In order to qualify for the Scheme, you must receive one of the following mobility allowances, with at least 12 months’ award length remaining:

Enhanced Rate of the Mobility Component of Personal Independence Payment (PIP)
Higher Rate Mobility Component of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA)
War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
Armed Forces Independence Payment (AFIP)

How does the Motability Scheme work?

Simply exchange part or all of your mobility allowance for a new car of your choice. The agreement lasts for three years and also includes insurance, road tax, servicing and breakdown cover.

Not only can your vehicle be specified to your requirements with specialist adaptations, you’ll also benefit from hassle-free motoring and greater independence, all covered by your mobility allowance.
