The Lexus RX has been the most popular hybrid luxury utility vehicle since its launch 20 years ago. The 2018 RX 450h L offers families more space with the addition of a third row of seats, making this Lexus’ first seven seater vehicle in Europe. The new RX L is 110mm longer than its smaller sibling and uses a steeper tailgate window angle to ensure maximum headroom is restored. Access to the third row of seats is made easy thanks to a lever which slides the second row forward.
The new RX 450h L is powered by a Lexus Hybrid Drive system pairing a D4-S injection 3.5-litre V6 petrol engine with two high-torque electric drive motor-generators. They produce 313 combined system horsepower, rewarding the RX 450h L with strong acceleration and passing abilities. The car featues an AWD system, with an independent rear mounted electric motor drives the rear wheels when needing to help maintain optimal traction.
The RX 450h L features a unique fourth drive mode, EV, allowing you to drive on just electric power at lower speed for short distances. Ideal for car parks or the local errand.
