Toyota C-HR – Prices and Specification

As the launch of the C-HR draws ever nearer, Toyota have now released the official prices and specification of the crossover vehicle. The introduction of the C-HR into the crossover market will bring stand-out styling, hybrid power and bags of innovation.

In terms of its size the C-HR will go up against established players like the Nisan Qashqai, Renault Kadjer, Skoda Yeti and Honda HR-V, however none of its rivals can match the efficient performance of its hybrid powertrain option. The high sensory quality in everything you see, touch and feel puts the C-HR into consideration alongside premium players such as the Audi Q2, BMW X1 and Mercedes-Benz GLA.

The Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) C-platform means the C-HR has the lowest centre of gravity in its class, which makes for balanced handling, less body roll and a more rewarding drive, all more akin to a compact hatch than a typical crossover. A low, coupe like roof line also differentiates the C-HR from its taller competitors.

The C-HR’s exterior plays on a diamond shape theme and this carries through to the interior, with high-quality tactile materials and trims, comfortable accommodation for passengers and an excellent driving position and dashboard layout.

The real stand out feature of the C-HR in the UK market is the option of a full hybrid powertrain. With class leading CO2 emissions from 86g/km and official combined fuel economy from 74.3mpg, a smooth, quiet and intuitive drive is assured. The low emissions do not come at the cost of performance, with the hybrid system offering a competitive 120bhp.
